Libraries and archives in Canada are addressing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action by revising subject heading systems that perpetuate colonial beliefs. Initiatives by the Association for Manitoba Archives and the University of Alberta Libraries aim to more accurately and respectfully represent Indigenous peoples through consultation and collaboration with Indigenous communities.
